Sylvester was presented to the clinic after a day of vomiting and not eating. We took a blood test and the results showed nothing abnormal but we discovered he had a lot of faeces in his abdomen so we gave him a laxative enema to help him flush his bowels.
Despite this, Sylvester was still not better so it was decided an x-ray of his abdomen will be required. This showed an abnormality in his intestines.
Sylvester underwent exploratory surgery and a small piece of chicken bone was found lodged in his lower bowel. This was removed and after a few days of intensive care, Sylvester was good to go home. He is now doing well but chicken bones are off the menu for him!
